In line with AIESEC SIngapore having its first regional conference in 10 years, we tracked down a Korean alumnus who was part of the AXLDS’96. Read on to find out how did Kelly made Singapore her second home and what stories she has from that conference.

We had a very successful CNY dinner on the 15th of February with 40 alumni attending. The highlights of the evening included

1) Sharing of the A Group Initiative by Gavin Ng
2) Presentation of APC ( Asia Pacific Conference 2013) by Amanda Ong, APC President
3) Warm Greetings by overseas alumni
4) Tossing of the Yusheng at the auspicious timing of 8:28pm

This year, we are launching a new series profiling AIESEC alumni, and where their AIESEC journey has taken them. We kickstart the series with a feature on Ms Yeo Miu Ean, an alumnus from the 1980s. Click through to learn more (download as pdf).

We warmly invite you to join us for this Community Dialogue, initiated by your fellow AIESEC Alumni – Peter and Zafirah. Central to this conversation is the question, “What is the better future we want?… and how can we create this future together?”

This question emerged as we were reflecting on our current lives, and past AIESEC experiences and friends that have helped us along the way… And we thought it would be a wonderful opportunity if we could connect with more alumni around this quest!

We realise that the reason why AIESEC was such a powerful experience for us is the idealism, optimism, and the sense that “anything is possible!”. And every member possessed these qualities and beliefs! Therefore, the community as a whole could enable and empower, co-inspire and co-create their shared vision for the future, together.

Hence, through this inaugural Community Dialogue, we hope that each member attending will be able to…

… Share and find new inspiration and insights
… Connect over common interests and vision for a better world
… See new possibilities and potential to take collective action

Quality photos leave their subjects looking their best, unlike mouth-staining popsicles and confrontational Christmas-shopping tussles. Learn to present life from its best angle with this special course.

Learn fundamentals of Adobe Photoshop and pick up the important processes to harnass primary tools and settings within the program. Retouch photos like a professional as well wielding the powers of photo manipulation and adding of special effects, as well as maximising basic Photoshop layers.

All course materials will be provided and the workshop will be led by an industry professional with many years of experience. Acquire basic design skills that gives each and everyone necessary skills for both home and workplace needs. The latest hardware and software will be provided throughout the course, with the school located a mere 5 minutes from Clarke Quay MRT station.

Course curriculum

- Fundamentals of photoshop (ppi, color mode=97RGB, CMYK)
- Retouching of photos (plastic surgery NOT included)
- Understanding image sizes for screen
- Maximising basic photoshop layers for cool photo manupulation and adding cool special effects
